Apres-Cyber Slopes Summit Code of Conduct

The Apres Cyber Slopes Summit is dedicated to providing a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for all participants, regardless of gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, age, religion, or other protected characteristics. We expect all participants, including attendees, speakers, sponsors, and staff, to adhere to the following Code of Conduct to ensure a respectful and positive experience for everyone.

Expected Behavior

  • Be respectful and considerate towards others.

  • Use inclusive and respectful language at all times.

  • Respect the opinions, viewpoints, and experiences of others, even if they differ from your own.

  • Comply with the instructions of event organizers, staff, and venue personnel.

  • Respect the boundaries of others, including personal space and verbal communication.

  • Seek consent before taking photographs, recording, or sharing content involving other participants.

Unacceptable Behavior

Unacceptable behaviors include, but are not limited to:

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form.

  • Verbal, physical, or written abuse of any attendee, speaker, sponsor, or staff member.

  • Inappropriate or unwelcome physical contact.

  • Sexual language, imagery, or advances in any context where it is unwelcome.

  • Disruptive behavior, such as interrupting presentations or creating disturbances in event sessions.

  • Stalking, following, or persistent unwelcome communication.

  • Unauthorized sharing of private information about individuals ("doxxing").

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to all Apres Cyber Slopes Summit events and associated activities, including talks, workshops, networking sessions, and online interactions related to the event. Participants are expected to uphold this Code of Conduct in all interactions.

Reporting Incidents

If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, or if you have concerns about someone’s conduct, please report it immediately to event staff or organizers. You can:

All reports will be handled with confidentiality and respect. Our team is committed to taking appropriate action to address the situation, including mediation, warnings, or expulsion from the event without refund.

Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior

Participants who engage in unacceptable behavior may face consequences, including:

  • Immediate removal from the event without refund.

  • Restriction from attending future Apres Cyber events.

  • Reporting of incidents to venue security or local authorities as appropriate.

  • Revocation of speaker or sponsor privileges, if applicable.

The organizers reserve the right to take any action deemed necessary to uphold the safety and integrity of the event.
